For Alabama's 6th Congressional
District
From William Barnes'
website:
My Fellow Alabamians,
In the late 1960’s I
signed up to serve the greatest nation in the world. I defended
this nation’s honor in the Jungles of Vietnam. I am proud of this
nation and I am proud of this nation’s government. I spent over
28 years working for the people. This is still a government of the
people; for the people, by the people.
Over the past year, I
have become increasingly concerned with the actions of Washington
legislators. It is clear to me that the politicians in the House
of Representatives have caused more destruction than in any other
period in my life time. The current representation of Alabama's
6th Congressional District, is a perfect example of the dysfunction
in Congress. The representative from this district has found himself
swimming in a pool of accusations. Those accusations concern his
relationship with Wall Street and his actions during the financial
meltdown of 2008.
I am running for this
office to support the middle class, small businesses, and others
who have been drowned out for years by special interests. Right
now Wall Street has too much influence in this district and in this
state. I am running to change the current circumstances.
